Are you passionate about environmental sustainability and interested in educating others about energy efficiency? Join us as a volunteer facilitator for the Powering The Future 2025! This exciting simulation engages participants in hands-on learning experiences, empowering them to optimize energy usage and promote sustainability in their homes and communities.
We are looking for volunteers for these locations & times:
- Perlis: Tentatively 28th July to 1st August (Program days would be from Monday to Friday)
- We would be travelling to Perlis on Sunday (27th July) and return on Friday (1st August).
- ⚠️ Priority will be given to volunteers based in Kangar and those who are able to drive
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Facilitate a group of students from primary and secondary schools.
- Guide students through interactive activities and discussions, helping them understand energy efficiency concepts and develop practical strategies for conservation.
- Assist participants in navigating unexpected challenges and brainstorming solutions to achieve energy efficiency goals.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive learning environment, encouraging students to share ideas, ask questions, and engage with the simulation effectively.
Requirements:
- Passion for environmental sustainability and energy conservation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to facilitate group activities and discussions in an engaging and inclusive manner.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of students during the simulation sessions.
- Fast-paced & quick learner.
- Preferably: Able to speak both English and Bahasa.
- Preferably university students from Terengganu / Kuala Lumpur.
