Privacy Policy

MAD For Good (MFG), located at [Suite 9.08 & 9.09, Block E, Pusat Dagangan Phileo Damansara 1, No.9, Jalan 16/11, Off Jalan Damansara, 46350 Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia], offers a service to enable corporate volunteerism, which includes software that’s hosted on the cloud.


The software is provided by DeedMob B.V. (DM), located at Koningsplein 1, 1017 BB Amsterdam, Netherlands. DM will be the data processor who hosts the software. The implementation, consulting and support is provided by MFG, who is the data controller.


Both MFG and DM (Solution Providers) will have access to the data that is actively provided by the client and their employees as part of usage of our services and as stipulated in this policy statement.


Personal Data That We Process

The Solution Providers will process only the personal data that is obtained as part of use of the services and voluntarily provided by the users. The processing of data from the supplier is subject to European GDPR ruling. 

 

User profile characteristics are provided by the user themselves, by entering data in the profile page and by using either the Solution Providers’ or one of their partners’ software or website. User profile characteristics are necessary for the implementation of any agreement with the client.


Some of the data that can be recorded and processed are as follows:

● First and last name

● Sex

● Email address

● IP address

● Other personal data that you actively provide, for example by creating a profile on this website, in correspondence and by telephone

● Location information

● Information about your activities on our website, including some navigation behavior is recorded for legitimate quality of service purposes. This includes interactions on any marketing emails that may be sent

● Internet browser and device type


For what purpose and on what basis we process personal data

The Solution Providers will process your personal data for the following purposes:

● Sending out newsletters and / or marketing emails

● To email users as necessary to be able to perform the services signed up for

● To inform users about changes to services and products

● To analyze user behavior on the website in order to improve the website and to adjust the range of products and services to your preferences.

● As a “software as a service”, our platform allows organisations (when configured as such) to access opportunities from other instances run by the Solution Providers for other organisations. As such, user preferences and navigation behaviour may be used to tailor the products and services that are suggested to meet the users’ needs.

● To send newsletters, marketing emails, and software updates. Personal data may be used to cater the content to specific users. 


Users can give or withdraw permission on the profile page with regards to sharing personal data with third parties. 


Automated decision making

Software provided by DM may make decisions based on automated processing that may affect users. These are decisions that are made by computer programs or systems, without a human being (such as an employee of Solution Providers).


The system will try to match your profile with the requirements or conditions of charity activities. If the profile features entered by users correspond to the requirements or conditions of a specific charity vacancy, then the system may automatically alert the user to this vacancy. There are no consequences if the user ignores or deletes this email.


How long we keep personal data

The Solution Providers do not store users’ personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which the data is collected:

  • Profile data is kept for as long as the user profile is active, so that the user can continue to use the services (and possibly those of third parties). 
  • Aggregate reporting data (without any characteristics that can be used to identify individual users) can be kept even after a profile is removed, to understand trends of usage and for historical reporting.
  • If personal data must be stored for legal reasons, the legal retention period will be used.


Sharing of personal data with third parties

The Solution Providers may share users’ personal data with various third parties if this is necessary for the execution of the agreement and to comply with a possible legal obligation.  


Some examples of data that could be shared with 3rd parties are as follows:


  • A processing agreement exists with companies that process your data on Solution Providers’ behalf; for which the same level of security and confidentiality of user data will be required of the third party. 
  • With organizations who establish a presence on the system for volunteering opportunities, only as necessary to provide services to the users. These organisations will be able to view user profiles when the users are a member of or follow the organisations. These organisations may possibly approach users by email with requests related to their opportunities.
  • Websites of employers from which users access the system.
  • Other websites that may be accessible directly from the system using links or other integrations.
  • By using a Facebook account to login, Facebook processes user login details and possibly other information which is not within the control of or responsibility of the Solution Providers. More information about the use of Facebook accounts to log in to third party systems can be obtained from Facebook.


International processing

User data is stored and processed in the system which is hosted within the European Union (EU). 


Cookies, or similar techniques, that we use

DM uses functional, analytical and tracking cookies. A cookie is a small text file that is stored in the browser of your computer, tablet or smartphone when users first visit this website. Cookies are used for purely technical functionality. These ensure that the website works properly and that, for example, users’ preferred settings are remembered. These cookies are also used to make the website work properly and to optimize it. In addition, cookies also track surfing behavior in order to offer customized content and promotions while using the system.


On users’ first visit to the system, they are informed about these cookies and will be asked permission to use them.


Users can opt out of cookies by adjusting settings on their internet browser so that it no longer stores cookies. In addition, users can also delete all information that was previously saved via the settings of their browser.


Cookies are also placed on the system by third parties whose services are used, such as: Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, AWS, MailGun, Sentry, Facebook and Intercom.


View, modify or delete data

Users have the right to view, correct or delete their personal data by logging into their account and going to the profile page.


In addition, users have the right to withdraw their consent for data processing or to object to the processing of their personal data by the Solution Providers and have the right to data transferability. This means that users can submit a request to obtain their personal data that is being held by the Solution Providers in a computer file.


Users can send requests regarding the aforementioned rights with regard to their personal data to [email protected].


To ensure that the request for inspection has been made by the user, we request that users send a copy of proof of identity with the request. This is to protect user privacy. The Solution Providers will respond to requests as quickly as possible, but within four weeks.


Users also have the possibility to file a complaint with the national data protection authority for the country in which they reside.
