Job description:
- Working with the team to develop and implement communications strategies that promote FoBD membership programmes and projects.
- Raise awareness of FoBD’s mission and programmes by creating and sharing interesting, relevant, and engaging content.
- Discover new and innovative ways to enhance and expand the organisation’s social media presence and outreach to various stakeholders.
- Manage and support the development of all print and electronic materials.
- Create annual reports and newsletters designed to promote the organisation and our work to prospective members, funders and donors.
- Maintain the organisation’s social media presence and other communication channels, PR, and media relations.
- Develop and execute campaigns around key programmes.
- Draft, design and produce creative digital materials for the promotion of all FoBD-related activities.
- Report on the effectiveness of engagement levels, communications activities, and campaign progress.
- Oversee the use of technology for programme operations, such as video conferencing technology, presentation software and other communications technologies, for instance.
- Support programme growth and development as necessary.
- Coordinate interactions and facilitate positive relationships between FoBD members, board of committee, volunteers, public, media, as well as other internal and external stakeholders.
Skills and Qualification Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience working in nonprofit communications, implementing communications strategies and campaigns.
- Outstanding written, communication, and editing skills.
- Time-management and organisational skills.
- Proficient in MS Office, web analytics, and various social media applications.
- Knowledge of SEO/SEM campaigns and marketing software such as content management systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, basic HTML, Hootsuite (knowledge of other social media management tools are a plus).
- Experience producing and editing digital content, including photography and videography skills.
- 2+ hours of commitment required per week.
