About OPTIONS for Supported Living

OPTIONS is a house that runs Supported Living programme for people with learning difficulties to enjoy weekend overnight stay; learn basic life skills and social skill such as household chores, grocery shopping, taking public transport, making friends, having pets, care of personal hygiene & personal safety, express their feelings and making own choices.OPTIONS is also a place that equip the young adults the skills to cope with the working environment.

The program also promotes better social inclusion of People with Learning Difficulties into the mainstream of society.

In OPTIONS, family members discuss and debate the issues of ‘letting go’ in order to enable their sons/ daughters to grow and one day be able to manage their own lives.

D&S encourages parents/guardians in taking up leadership to operate the programme.
