Summary
We are looking for a trainer/speaker to hold an introductory session on networking, pitching, and personal branding as part of an upskilling program by UNHCR!Detailed description
Ratio:Cause, the sister organisation to Project Liber8, is looking for a trainer/guest speaker to hold an hourlong introductory session as part of a 5-week Capacity Building Programme held in collaboration with UNHCR for refugee community leaders!
We are currently looking for a guest speaker for our final training session on networking, pitching, and personal branding. If you are someone who loves talking to others about the projects you've been working on and know the best practices for presenting oneself and their projects to potential funders and collaborators, this might be an opportunity for you!
We are providing this session on networking and pitching because many refugee communities lack the capital to launch projects and programmes. This means that they need to reach out and build partnerships with Malaysians who might be interested in providing the startup costs for these initiatives until they can stand on their own. From this session, we are hoping that participants will be better able to adjust their asks to their audiences and know how to make elevator pitches about their initiatives.
Role Requirements:
- Communicate fluently in English.
- Able to engage pleasantly with the community leaders from various refugee organisations.
- Well versed in the topics of Networking, Pitching, and Personal Branding.
- Able to prepare informative presentation slides and send 1 day prior to the session.
The participants of this programme are refugee leaders with their own organisations that they manage within their own community to provide them with support. They are in the age range of 19-45 and represent various refugee communities from West Africa, Somalia, Afghanistan, Yemen, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan, to name a few. There will be about 20 pax in the group and they are from about 10 different organisations.
We will provide refreshments and reimbursement for your transportation costs.
