Summary

We're on the lookout for a dedicated volunteer teacher to lead our Basic Communication (Malay) classes!

Detailed description

🌟 What We're Looking For:

  • Proficiency in Malay (spoken and written)
  • Enthusiasm for teaching and empowering learners
  • Patience and excellent communication skills
  • Commitment to a minimum of 3 months
  • Prior teaching experience is a plus but not required


🎯 What You'll Do:

  • Conduct engaging and interactive Malay language lessons
  • Focus on basic communication skills, including speaking and listening
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Help learners build confidence in using Malay in real-life situations


🕒 Schedule:

  • Weekly sessions
  • Wednesdays or Thursdays
  • 8:00 PM - 9:30 PM


📅 Duration:

  • Minimum commitment of 3 months

About Pertubuhan Perkhidmatan Social dan Pembangunan Komuniti Daerah Gombak, Selangor (PSPK)

Pspk stands for Perkhidmatan Sosial Pembangunan Komuniti. The Association of Social Services and Community Development of Gombak District, Selangor (Pspk) is a non-profitable welfare and charitable organization involved in community service since 4th July 2006. It is registered under the Registrar of Societies of Malaysia and is affiliated to the Selangor Council of Welfare & Social Development and tax-exempted organisation since 2009. PSPK is striving to be a community-based organisation which strives for sustainability.

PSPK is the official partner of International Islamic University Malaysia and University of Kuala Lumpur Foundation and also with All Party Parliamentary Group of Malaysia on Sustainable Development Goals (APPGM-SDG), and United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

This year PSPK is embarking a significant milestone, our 16th anniversary with slogan “Care for Community, Women in Sustainability”. PSPK’s vision is to empower women and children, living out their dreams with dignity & hope, thereby strengthening families and transforming communities. Our mission is to facilitate development of under privileged women and children irrespective of their creed and race, through life skill training and a life changing community enhancement program with the five guiding principles; Governed by Love, Stewardship, Effectiveness, People Centric Approach and Innovativeness.

PSPK serves the community in need by being a support structure that empowers the community to improve their livelihood aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). PSPK’s focus area are Community Development, Children Education, Women Empowerment, Economic and Environment Restoration. PSPK empower the marginalized women and youth living in urban poverty by providing the support structure to uplift their lives.

PSPK have been empowered the B40 women and youths from the community in to social entrepreneurship. The empowered community took the ownership of the social enterprises – a sustainability model promotes sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, productive employment and decent work for all together with the responsibility to engage the people for community’s betterment. The holistic initiative of PSPK has progressively impacted many women and youths from the urban poor community. PSPK believes with a good partnership and high commitment, we can transform in the community significantly in a greater way.
