Summary

Help out by walking our dogs or cleaning our cat cages!

Detailed description

Volunteer a day with us if you’re interested in contributing your time and energy to physically help us out at our shelter! We severely lack manpower especially in the morning when we are packed with work to start off the day. We welcome anybody and everybody who is willing to learn and who would love to work with animals.

We would prefer someone who knows how to walk dogs. Those without experience, we will guide you through the tasks throughout the day.

Rough list of a day’s work :

  • Walking the dogs.
  • Cleaning the shelter.
  • Assist in rescue work if any.
  • Bathing the dogs if needed.
  • Arranging newspaper.
  • Play with our animals!

For our Muslim friends, you can opt not to work with the dogs if you’re not comfortable. No worries as you can be in charge of our cats and cleaning the centre!

Instructions:

  • Bring old newspapers for us if you have any. We need as many as we can get!
  • Do be punctual for the time slot that you have booked.
  • Bring extra clothes for yourself just in case you get sweaty.

About My Pets Haven

As an independent rescue and adoption shelter, we are always on the lookout for a helping hand. Here are a few ways in which you can learn more about us and how you can help us.

Our mission is to rescue, rehome, treat and sterilise.

Our vision is to expand our shelter’s capacity to rescue more animals and rehome them. We aim to do more for the stray animals to give them another chance at a better life. We have saved, vaccinated, sterilised and rehomed over a thousand stray animals since we began our rescuing efforts. Ultimately, we are striving to curb negligence towards stray animals as well as control the stray population in our community. We still lack the resources and capacity to accommodate for our increasing number of rescues as we are an independent organisation. Nevertheless, we will continue to persevere in our efforts to help more animals in need and to carry out our work with compassion and integrity.
